Let’s Split the Difference: Your Guide to Clarifying the Differences between Similar Types by Susan Nash

Exclusive – You can only purchase this ebook on Typexchange!

Buy this book now!

Description:

Every year, many thousands of people use the knowledge of psychological type (as described initially by Carl Jung in 1921) to raise individual awareness, increase leadership effectiveness, build team cohesiveness and provide support to the coaching process.

Most people access these concepts using an assessment tool called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) which provides a “four-letter Type” (E/I, S/N, T/F, J/P) that describes an individuals preferred way of gathering information and making decisions.

Often individuals struggle with selecting their ”best-fit” type using only this assessment tool because of the difficulties in distinguishing between innate and learned behaviours.

To help in the sorting process, it is helpful to use the four lenses of type:

Function-attitudes: what are the information gathering and decision making preferences?

Hierarchy of functions: how do these cognitive processes manifest for your personality type?

Temperament: what are your core needs and what pattern of values, talents and behaviors do you identify with?

Interaction Style: how do you engage with others to get your core needs met and what pattern of aims, beliefs, energy and appearance do you most identify with?

This book includes:

An overview of the four lenses of type

Comparisons between different types

Resource guide for further information

This book has been designed as a resource for trainers, consultants, coaches, and leaders to help individuals assess their best-fit type, and thereby have greater access to their innate talents.

When it comes to creativity, what decade are you operating from? Since the 1950’s views of creativity has shifted at least 5 times. This program reveals emerging trends and research behind simple practices that allow creative thinking to prosper and innovation to occur. It demystifies the fallacies of accepted creativity tenets and unmasks messages from mythology that have shaped beliefs on the subject. You’ll come away from this program with language to use to involve others in using their creative abilities to make a difference.

This program highlights

Creativity research and changes in attitudes toward creativity over the decades

Three basic fears that prevent people from contributing fully when asked for new ideas

Type, temperament and other language to engage, inspire and empower people to accept, and work with their creativity day-to-day.

This new knowledge can be applied in your business, your organization and your personal life. With awareness comes choice. You can choose to use the content of this program to enhance your practice, your message delivery and your creative thinking facilitation and to behave in ways that fuel your and others’ creative behaviour.

Press Release

TypeLabs offers new PowerPoint presentation illustration graphics to visually communicate the four temperament styles used with the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ®.

The four temperament styles are most often associated with the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and are used frequently with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. According the Keirsey.com Web site, the Keirsey Temperament Sorter is used by more than 40 million people, and CPP Inc., publisher of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, says that more than 2 million MBTI ® instruments are used worldwide each year by individuals and organizations, including 89 of the Fortune 100. These statistics show the importance of providing quality support material for professionals using these instruments and the millions of people taking these instruments each year.

“I think most professionals who introduce the four temperament styles would agree that many of the PowerPoint shows they have sat through could be better,” said Kris Kiler, founder and President of the company based in Fountain Valley, California. “Well, that’s why we have started creating these illustrations: to make presentations introducing the four temperament styles more lively, more interesting, and to drive the messages home to the learner.”

The goal with these new illustrations is to help professionals create better PowerPoint presentations so they can introduce the four temperament styles more effectively. PowerPoint is a necessary communications tool for professional trainers and it is more effective to use additional support resources like these Temperament Illustrations than simply listing out bullet points to convey the necessary elements needed to learn about the styles.

“There are not a lot of companies that specialize in delivering custom PowerPoint graphics for personality type. There is a tremendous gap in this area and we are committed to filling it,” added Kiler

The TypeLabs mission is to create new technologies that will lead to a greater understanding of human personality differences. These new PowerPoint illustrations represent the first set in a series of illustrations to support professionals teaching personality type.

The new PowerPoint visuals are available for immediate download on the TypeLabs digital file download service: Typexchange. http://www.typexchange.com

Typexchange is a provider of premium digital personality type content on the Internet.
